Review: Origin by Jennifer L Armentrout

Origin is book four of the Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout and follows Katy and Daemon’s terrible adventure inside Daedalus.

Everything is not how it seems inside the DOD. Katy, now a prisoner there, finds many secrets. Some, she can appreciate. Some, she hates. Even as they seek to test her abilities, she rebels against the very idea of everything they’re forcing her to do.

Daemon will do whatever it takes to get Katy back. Whatever. Even getting captured and going inside Daedalus itself to experience the horrors.

But the biggest secret of the DOD isn’t their training methods or their mysterious cures or even the terrorist Luxen. Its the Origin. If Katy and Daemon can figure out what that is.

The reason I liked this one so much is that it showed the good side of the bad, and the bad side of the good. There was no clear “this is right” answer, because let’s face it, life doesn’t work like that. Daemon and Katy have to make hard decisions, terrible decisions that they’re going to have to live with for the rest of their lives. And there are good sides to the evil that is Daedalus, just as there are bad sides to Katy’s precious Luxen.
