Review: Melting Stones by Tamora Pierce

Melting Stones is the third book in The Circle Reforged series by Tamora Pierce and follows Evvy and Rosethorn on their journey to the Battle Islands to fight a volcano.

Evvy doesn’t like people and she doesn’t see the need to help them when they’re probably going to hurt you in the end. Rosethorn says she is at the crossroads between becoming a destroyer or a builder. Luvo, her heart-of-a-mountain friend, wants her to save herself, and if she can, the other meat-creatures.

But what will Evvy pick? When push comes to shove, will she risk her own life to save the ungrateful and stubborn people of the battle islands, or will she leave them to their volcanic fate?
