Review: When Death Loved an Angel by Cheree Alsop

When Death Loved an Angel by Cheree Alsop is the story of Death, as in the old fashioned Grim Reaper version, and an Angel, as in Guardian Angel. Nyra, the angel, is protecting her charge, Stephen, whom she is also in love with. Except Stephen doesn’t know she exists, and is in love with a human. Stephen gets into an accident and ends up in the hospital.

Enter Death, to collect Stephen. But he stays his hand at the odd request from Nyra. Thus begins a strange love story between Death and an Angel.

Cheree Alsop does a great job with the switch-up POV between Death and Nyra. She captures the angst and inner turmoil of Death, who is weary of taking unwilling souls. He is a believable character, holding fast to the one thing that keeps him rooted: an angel.

Five Star Rating by Loren Weaver

I’d recommend this book to anyone in need of a love-conquers-all encouragement. You can find When Death Loved an Angel on the author’s website, on Amazon, or on Smashwords.
