Review: Arcane by Server Bronny

Arcane by Server Bronny is the first book in the Arinthian Line series and follows young, 14-year-old Augum on his first steps to becoming a warlock.

Augum spent his early life as an orphan, but through an interesting twist of events finds himself unconscious in the home of a great warlock of lighting, the rarest element. Training with her won’t be easy, but Augum figures it will be worth it in the end.

And then a few secrets come to light that will change Augum’s world forever. But that’s okay, because there’s more books in the series and I’m looking forward to reading them.

I liked this tale of magic and mayhem, bravery and courage, good and evil. It’s a traditional fantasy set in an imaginary kingdom and is a YA (Augum is 14, after all). But the writing was well done and the story carried me along. I’ll be looking for the next one, that’s for sure.
