5 Around the Office Workouts Nobody Sees You Do

You walk around the office. It’s helpful, but the walking just isn’t doing it for you. You need to get the blood flowing again. Here’s five around the office workouts no one will see you do but still make you feel better.

Copy Machine Legs

You’re standing at the copy machine. No one is looking. Do a leg lift!

Lift your leg to the side. Doesn’t have to be super high. Just about a foot or even six inches off the floor. Repeat 10 times on each side.

Kick yourself in the butt. Softly, of course. This one is easier for those wearing skirts. Squeeze your muscles as you lift your leg. Repeat 10 times on each leg.

Neither of those two are very hard at all. Especially if no one is in the copy room! Use the copy machine for balance if you need to.

Chair Squats

Every time you sit down at your desk. Do a chair squat. Go to sit in your chair, but pause an inch off the chair and hold for 30 seconds before you sit down.

Repeat this every time you sit down when no one is around. Your legs will be looking great in no time at all!

Under the Desk Resistance

You’re sitting at your desk. Your legs hurt. Warm up those muscles.

Cross your legs. Lift from the ankle on the bottom leg (Push Up). Resist with the top leg (Push Down). Repeat 10 times. Switch legs and do it again.

Chair Crunches

You’re talking on the phone. But you don’t have anything to do with your body besides twirl the chair. Let’s be a little more productive.

Sit tall at the front of your chair. Curl your body into a C as you lean back and touch your back to the chair’s back. Hold for 5 seconds. Sit tall. Ab crunch!

Do it while you’re on the phone or otherwise occupied with your brain but not your hands.

Lunch Line Lifts

You’re standing around, waiting in a line… Let’s be a little more active.

Rise up on your toes. Hold for a count of 5. Go down. Repeat.

It’s that easy. You’re working the muscles in your calves and back. Keep your back straight and shoulders square while you lift. Repeat as many times as you have time for or until your legs hurt. You’ll be able to do more as you go!
