You sit at a desk all day. Your body hurts. You need a way to move it around and stretch it out, but you don’t want to make a big deal about it in your office.
Here’s 5 quick stretches you can do without ever leaving your desk.
Head & Neck
Sit up super straight. Tilt your head to the left with your ear on your shoulder while looking forward. Hold for 10 seconds, then switch sides.
Do the same thing again, but look down at your shoulder.
Repeat 5 times on each side. Feel the tension flow away.
Roll your shoulders forward in a complete circle. Repeat 10 times.
Roll your shoulders backward in a complete circle. Repeat 10 times.
Straighten your arm in front of you. With your other hand, pull the fingers down. Hold for 10 seconds. Pull your fingers up. Hold for ten seconds. Repeat 5 times.
Do the other side.
Legs & Ankles
Point your toe as far as you can. Hold for 10 seconds. Pull it back and flex as much as you can. Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times. Do the other side.
Roll your ankle in a complete circle towards your other leg. Repeat 10 times. Roll your ankle in a complete circle towards the outside. Repeat 10 times. Do the other side.
Feeling a little better? Hopefully you are! Do these simple stretches a couple times in the morning and a couple of times in the afternoon. Don’t let your body get tensed at that desk all day!
